Portacel’s Colne Cl₂, SO₂ and NH₃ Toxic Gas Sensor Heads

Portacel’s Colne Cl₂, SO₂ and NH₃ Toxic Gas Sensors utilise electro-chemical sensors installed in a special junction box which also contains the amplifier/transmitter to provide a 2-wire 4-20 mA output. The amplifier/transmitter operates at 7.5 to 32v so the Colne sensor is suitable for use with Portacel systems or with those of other manufacturers.

The detectors are intrinsically safe and require a Zener barrier or similar device between them and the control unit when they are used in a hazardous area.

The sensor housing is a compact design, constructed from plastic to reduce weight and resist corrosion.
