The Trent Liquid is a self-contained liquid chemical doser with a Variable Area Control (VAC) valve, a flow meter and a dedicated controller housed as a single compact unit. Using a Portacel ejector, a vacuum is pulled through the Trent Liquid doser drawing the chemical from the storage tank, through a flow indicator and precision VAC valve to the point of application. The VAC valve is operated by a servo motor controlled by the Automatic Valve Positioner, (AVP), offering high repeatability and linearity over the operating range. The AVP controller, designed specifically for disinfection control, will accept water flow and chlorine residual signals to automatically control chemical dosing to an operator programmable set point. Manual operation is also possible via local manual controls. The Trent Liquid is suited for both on site generated Hypochlorite, (up to 1% available chlorine), as well as commercial strength Hypochlorite, (up to 15% available chlorine). Portacel can offer dilution systems for very low chemical flows, (below 3 l/hr), when using higher concentration solutions, offering more accurate metering and better control. High accuracy dosing is achieved as the Trent Liquid delivers a stable supply of chemical not easily achieved using conventional dosing pumps. Maintenance associated with pumped systems is eliminated as the Trent Liquid contains few moving parts. |
